About  the Divine Domains

Each of the gods reign over different domains. When soldiers go to war, they pray to the war gods. When sailors go out to sea, they pray to the sea gods.

These are their “divine domains.”

Each god has deep influence and profound knowledge over their own domains. But they are much less reliable about matters beyond their domain. The war gods will eagerly share the news of the latest skirmishes across the battlefield, but if you want to know about the stormy weather off the coast, you'll need to ask the sea gods.

Most gods cover multiple domains. There is most likely a god of both war AND sea.
